Civil War Sesquicentennial

Digital Classroom:
The Sesquicentennial Anniversary of the Civil War

Funded in part by the Humanities Council of South Carolina, the South Carolina Historical Society has developed a multimedia exhibit about secession in conjunction with the sesquicentennial anniversary of the Civil War in 2010-2015. The project includes traditional exhibits installed at the Fireproof Building as well as a digital presentation available to 8th-grade teachers nationwide. The SCHS also has created a lesson plan for teachers (download it by the link below) to be used in conjunction with the digital exhibit.
