THE REVOLUTION's innovative layout and design which provides readers with an outstanding multimedia experience is the work of Patrick Shannon of A7 and Arn Gregory of OneIdea. Countless hours were spent developing innovative methods to present the information so readers would enjoy exploring South Carolina's Revolutionary War heritage.

Dr. Lawrence S. Rowland of the University of South Carolina, Beaufort; Dr. Kyle Sinisi of The Citadel; and Mr. Mike Bullard of Old South Carriage Company provide excellent video commentary which brings the period to life.

South Carolina Historical Society staff including Dr. David Percy, Ms. Daisy Bigda, Ms. Ashley Yandle, Mrs. Karen Stokes, and Ms. Janet Thornhill all contributed and assisted the project leader with comments and content. Thank you also to the following SC Historical Society friends and supporters who provided valuable assistance: Ms. Carey Lucas, Robert Cuthbert, Ms. Elise Pinckney, and Dr. Alexander Moore.

Peter Wilkerson, SC Historical Society project leader, coordinated the project's many different aspects and guided it to completion. He is grateful to each individual who contributed to the project but especially to his seven-year-old son, Stuart who suggested that the CD-ROM publication be about the American Revolution in South Carolina so more people would know about the exploits of his heroes: Francis Marion, Sgt. William Jasper, Thomas Sumter, Daniel Morgan, William Washington, and others. May his hope become a reality through the publication of
THE REVOLUTION and may we live our lives to be worthy of the sacrifices made by the heroes of the Revolution.
