Copy.- From Earl Cornwallis to Lieutenant-colonel Tarleton, dated M'Alister's, January 9th, three P. M. Dear Tarleton, NOTHING new since yesterday; some of Washington's cavalry, who had been escorting prisoners to Charlotte town, returned over Broad river. I have taken every means in my power to find out Morgan's movements, and whether he repasses Broad river. I received yours January 8th. Yours very sincerely, CORNWALLIS Lieutenant-colonel Tarleton.
